You Talk Too Much #5 - Twilight Of The Golden Gods
Friday Sep 12, 2014
Friday Sep 12, 2014
You Talk Too Much flew minus it's pilot last night as Cola was suspiciously absent. A hot date with a cool guy perhaps? Maybe. Being the fearless crew aboard the SS AMP, Brody and Scott leapt into the proverbial cockpit to discuss the Revolver Magazine 2014 Golden Gods Awards. It's no secret that the hosts of You Talk Too Much are huge fans of underground and not-so-mainstream music so we look over the winners and nominees. Does Slayer still have what it takes following the tragic passing of guitarist Jeff Hanneman? Is Guns And Roses piloted mostly on the mystique of danger? And what is the deal with the pants in contemporary quasi-death metal? We work diligently to button up these questions and more!

TNBS #5 - Beard From Above 1979
Wednesday Sep 10, 2014
Wednesday Sep 10, 2014
On this episode of The Night Beard Show, limbs are flying and money is everywhere! What we are trying to say is that this is the type of episode that might inspire one to leap heroically from a window due to over-excitement. However, we encourage all listeners to curb said excitement levels when it comes to sullying one another's coffee because that would simply be wrong. But if you are thinking that this is the kind of episode with the comedic power to bring down an entire fast food sign, you may be onto something. Is Al Pacino ready to admit to his love of comic books? Will you love seeing Charlie Hunnam as Snake Plisken? And why is there a third Boondock Saints film coming? The Beards flutter around these topics and more!

TCR Episode #8 - Oddballs And Airwaves
Monday Sep 08, 2014
Monday Sep 08, 2014
This Roast was not on Comedy Central, but this week's episode is all about comedy! Over the Labor Day holiday, the Comic Roasters took a little trip to the Chicago stop of the Oddball Comedy And Curiosity Festival. Once there, we discovered not only some great new stand up comics, but also some things about ourselves. Brian learned that Brody Stevens loves Sunny Day Real Estate as much as he does, Joe learned that Pantera does not enjoy his presence and Scott learned that sometimes, you just can't go back to school. For this week's New #1, we investigate the inner workings' of Walt Simonson's new IDW series Ragnarok. We also offer our thoughts about Slayer signing to Nuclear Blast Records, The Rock as Black Adam, Defenders Of The Realm, Over / Under on stand up comics and more!

YTTM #4 - Who's On Fourth?
Friday Sep 05, 2014
Friday Sep 05, 2014
How does one make politics sexy? The answer is you don't. This does not stop Cola and the gang from getting deep into it with our special guest Mike Paus (@tinleyharrier) of Restore The Fourth Chicago. Mike makes no mistake of his unabashed admiration for Edward Snowden and America's need to restore its Constitutional principles and we all delve into what we feel needs to be done. Discussion ranges from knowing your rights when approached by law enforcement to the overreach of the digital security apparatus to how amazing Captain America: The Winter Soldier is on BluRay. Will we be able to call Saul and change the culture with this episode? It remains to be seen...but we try our best.

TNBS #4 - Beard In, Beard Out
Wednesday Sep 03, 2014
Wednesday Sep 03, 2014
Have we mentioned yet that the Beard can get weird? Soon enough, it will become household knowledge from coast to bearded coast. In this episode of The Night Beard Show, we take a look back to look ahead at the undying, raging phenomenon known as Zubaz pants. While we all indulge in games of all types, Angry Birds seems to have flown past us in its prime. We attempt to get sexy with some very romantic creepiness as well as peeling the back the sex appeal of certain washed up rock icons. It is the sort of thing that makes one want to get in on an auction to meet a celebrity before it costs more than a latte. We also dive back into movie-dom and see if anything coming to the theater this fall strikes anyone's fancy. For those riding high on Ken's love-in from last week, he is back to being hateful once more. Dip in your beards and enjoy!

TCR Episode #7 - Going Into Labor
Monday Sep 01, 2014
Monday Sep 01, 2014
To celebrate Labor Day, the Roasters of Comics have a chat about the work that goes into the things that we love. We begin with two issue ones for the New #1 segment in the form of Blackout and Baltimore: The Witch Of Harju, both books from Dark Horse. We tackle First-Person Shooters in the Over / Under segment before we wax intellectual about Joe's love of hyper-technical death metal and the Every Simpsons Ever marathon. Amidst it all, we use the bulk of the show to discuss how we wish we had the chance to work on the teams that created some of our favorite films, comics and games before it morphs a bit more macabre than usual. But what can you expect from three hosts whose childhoods were happening in the shadows of infamous serial killer H.H. Holmes?

YTTM #3 - The Dangers Of Satan's Rock-And-Roll Influence
Friday Aug 29, 2014
Friday Aug 29, 2014
How far will the Prince Of Darkness go to own one's soul with music? Pretty far if you went to Catholic school in the late 1980's. This week on You Talk Too Much, we chat over influence of the music of our youth. Whether it had been the audio supplement to flannel sales that was Alternative Rock or the subliminal messages commanding the sacrifice of small animals found in Heavy Metal, music was an important part of our personal evolution. Would you believe that someone compiled a list of the 100 Greatest Metal Albums of the 1990's? Brody might argue that there were easily more than 100 of them. Has the question of how much Scott loves Husker Du kept you awake at night? Is Cola love of Guided By Voices going to dominate the conversation? And what was the deal with Sublime? All of this and more on You Talk Too Much.

TNBS #3 - Reign In Beard
Wednesday Aug 27, 2014
Wednesday Aug 27, 2014
This week's episode of The Night Beard Show involves a fridge too far. What was in that fridge shall remain a mystery to even we. In an effort to get weird, we talk about some weird things. Can one go to jail for enduring some else's flatulence? Has anyone ever been arrested for breaking-and-entering-AND-showering? Are carnies who move into a person's home really change the locks once inside? Why do boa constrictors hate MTV? We get into all of this and more before ending on the subject of what is each one of our go-to movie choice when looking for a familiar film friend.

TCR Episode #6 - This Is The Static Age
Monday Aug 25, 2014
Monday Aug 25, 2014
This week, technical buffoonery hath befallen the Comic Roasters, thereby rendering this week's New Number One's segment a withered husk. So, where do we go from there? We stand tall and we roast onwards and upwards! Aside from usual beginning chatter, we finally got the chance to play Zombicide. We run down the DC Comics 25 Essential Graphic Novels list to see who has read what or who wants to read any of their recommendations. We also take a look at the curious first image from the upcoming Ant-Man movie and discuss the early reviews of the pilot for The Flash TV series. Working overtime to not forget about video games, we try to figure out why we suck at them as well as bandy about some turn-based RPG's in a new recurring segment called Over/Under. We rise above the technological fray with another Best Thing Ever before riding off into the digital sunset!

YTTM #2 - Is It Superman 2?
Friday Aug 22, 2014
Friday Aug 22, 2014
On this episode of You Talk Too Much, it's the films that have shaped a generation. That generation you ask? The 1980's. We spend the entirety of the show discussing the influence and staying power of the movies from the decade of decadence. Was Adventures In Babysitting strong enough to make the list? Does First Blood hold up after countless over-the-top sequels? Is Superman 2 the greatest film of the decade? Cola, Brody and Scott examine these films and more to see what remains pertinent and what is as forgettable as parachute pants.

TNBS #2 - May The Beard Be With You
Wednesday Aug 20, 2014
Wednesday Aug 20, 2014
This week on The Night Beard Show, we determine that Beetlejuice was more of a documentary than a comedic creature-feature, at least as it pertains to sandworms. From there, we scratch the itch of the human psyche from underage drinking to the hidden dangers of sunbathing. Nothing tickles our curiosity like a failed celebrity starting their own religion or fun with sharks! Is The Wizard Of Oz more popular than Star Wars? Tune in & find out on this dynamite episode!

TCR Episode #5 - How Do You Get To The Met?
Monday Aug 18, 2014
Monday Aug 18, 2014
This week's episode of The Comic Roast begins on a somber note as we memorialize the life, career and personality of the great Robin Williams. From his legendary comic events to his sterling film career to his persona as a comic book fan and gamer, we celebrate his legacy. Also, we begin a new weekly comic book segment called The New Number Ones. This week, we banter about BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA #1 by BOOM! and written by John Carpenter & Eric Powell. Finally, we argue over which book, film and game can be a great teaching tool for anyone trying to influence a young mind.

YTTM #1 - Gen X Vs. Gen Y
Friday Aug 15, 2014
Friday Aug 15, 2014
The teams of Generation Inclination & Who Are The Area Men combine forces to bring You Talk Too Much, a podcast focused on discussions and debate. This week, we talk about the differences between Gen X and Gen Y. Some say Millenials are narcissistic, more confident and less resistant to progress and change. Meanwhile, Gen X is said to be more educated while less likely to vote. Do any of these traits lack merit? Tune in as we deliberate.

TNBS #1 - In The Beard Of The Night
Wednesday Aug 13, 2014
Wednesday Aug 13, 2014
It's the debut episode of The Night Beard Show! Former members of Who Are The Area Men? reconvene to once again find odd news and pop culture tidbits for discussion and for ripping on. Were Terminator-style robots headed to your home in the 1980's? Is science relying too heavily on The Onion for their citations? Will Ken ever find it within his heart to love anyone other than Will Smith? Also, Arrested Development and Sons Of Anarchy talk....it's time for the Night Beard!

Monday Aug 11, 2014
TCR Episode #4 - Dudes In The Witch House
Monday Aug 11, 2014
Monday Aug 11, 2014
This week on The Comic Roast Podcast, we talk about a virtual bevy of board game mania. Does hype need warranting on the upcoming board game based on The Witcher MMORPG or the sequel in Battlefield series? Did Scott & Brian fall in love with the new Crisis expansion for the DC Deck Builder? Does the forthcoming X-Com board game digital app feature make anyone want to breakdance? We also talk extensively of our anticipation of Galeforce Nine's Sons Of Anarchy strategy game, despite the pieces being referred to as "dudes". Finally, we wrap this episode by discussing the potential lack of gravity in comic book deaths and our weekly Best Thing Ever.

TCR Episode #3 - A Galactic Pie In The Face
Monday Aug 04, 2014
Monday Aug 04, 2014
On this week's episode of The Comic Roast, we gush over how much Marvel's "Guardians Of The Galaxy" exceeds all of out expectations. We dabble a bit into what we overheard about San Diego Comic Con, dig into the stand-alone Legendary game "Villains", discuss the inductees to the Skateboarding Hall Of Fame and what game consoles one thinks of as their go-to gateway console.

TCR Episode #2 - Too Much Horror Business
Monday Jul 28, 2014
Monday Jul 28, 2014
This week, the current eX-Men of the Area had no movie to bandy about, but we did have much to discuss in the distant shadows of Comic Con. We got into a discussion on horror, specifically zombies. On the one hand, Scott and Brian both had plenty of glowing praise for the Afterlife With Archie comic series. On the other, we also debated whether or not zombies have officially jumped the shark. We wrap up with our thoughts on the current beta of Destiny for the PS4.
